Higgy’s Blog: The First Post
Aug 12th, 2006 by Mr. Higgins
My name is Chris Higgins and I am very excited to introduce my first ever blog (yeah, that reflective writing thing). I am going to be a first year teacher at a Norwalk High School in Ohio. I will be sharing my experiences through my first year of teaching Mathematics and Computer Science with hopefully a few readers. My classes include Algebra II, Visual Basic, AP Java Programming, Web Development, and Operating Systems. I will continue to tweak the way the blog appears until I’m fully satisfied. I have had the opporunity to read and browse many other tremendous blogs such as weblogg-ed, computer science teacher, and cool cat teacher. My goal is to provide some insite into my experiences…especially those that concern my teaching ability and thoughts.

This blog is going to bat for Web 2.0. My name is Chris Higgins and I am a high school mathematics and computer science teacher at Norwalk High School in Ohio. I am a lifetime learner, Web 2.0 advocate, blogger, tennis coach, and a huge sports fan. Go Browns! Go Cavs! Go Tribe!

Good luck! I’m so glad that I’m the first commenter on your blog. I’ve been writing about commenting recently so I want to model that behavior I guess. Thanks for coming by my blog!
I think your blog looks great! It is more important that you are doing it. I teach introduction to computer science. I’m looking for some people to do cooperative work with when we teach about ethics.
Let me know and good luck!
