During my first couple of years teaching I kept saying to experienced teachers "you probably learned about this in ed school" where "this" refered to a lot of the things you talk about here and then some. Most times the reply was "no they didn't teach us that in ed school." I started to seriously wonder just what it was they do teach in ed school.
